El Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) de México podría caer hasta 34% en el segundo trimetre del año, de acuerdo con Bank of America.

El pronostico del banco se da por la debilidad económica como consecuencia de la pandemia por el coronavirus (Covid-19).

“Esperamos una contracción de -34% en el segundo trimestre de 2020 (e datos actualizados) pero vemos grandes riesgos a la baja, además de la gran incertidumbre sobre cuándo puede reabrir la economía“, destacó Bank of America.

La firma indicó que la respuesta política del gobierno no amortigua el golpe, ya que las medidas fiscales dadas a conocer hasta el momento son inferiores a 1% del PIB.
