Los rumores de una nueva vacuna elevan las expectativas de que la economía podría recuperarse de forma acelerada.

El peso mexicano se apreciaba el miércoles por segunda jornada consecutiva tras la divulgación de noticias sobre progresos de una potencial vacuna para el coronavirus, que impulsaba el interés global por activos de riesgo.

La moneda local cotizaba en 22.2815 por dólar, con una ganancia del 0.72% frente al precio de referencia de Reuters del martes.

“La promesa de una vacuna contra el coronavirus eleva la especulación de que la economía podría recuperarse de forma acelerada”, dijo Gabriela Siller, directora de análisis de la firma Banco Base.

Investigadores estadounidenses informaron el martes que la vacuna experimental de Moderna demostró que era segura y provocó respuestas inmunes en los 45 voluntarios sanos en un estudio en etapa inicial.

El peso acumula un avance del 2.1%, en las últimas dos sesiones.
