
El peso mexicano inicia la semana en territorio negativo frente al dólar. El tipo de cambio se ubica en 22.6234 unidades por billete verde contra un registro oficial de 22.2100 unidades el viernes, con datos del Banco de México (Banxico).
La moneda local retrocede ante el fortalecimietno global de la divisa estadounidense. En su cuarta jornada conecutiva con pérdidas, el cruce se desplaza 41.34 centavos o 1.86%, en un rango entre 22.6397 y 22.2539 unidades por dólar.
De acuerdo con un reporte de Banco Base, el fortalecimiento del dólar contra sus principales pares se debe a una corrección al alza tras el peor mes para el dólar desde enero de 2018 y el nerviosismo ante factores como el coronavirus.
«A nivel global, los casos de coronavirus superaron 18 millones, con un millón de contagios desde la última semana. Debido al creciente número de casos, los países han empezado a responder con medidas de seguridad», explica Base.
El dólar registra ganancias moderadas frente al euro durante las operaciones del lunes por la mañana. Después de alcanzar un mínimo de dos años la semana pasada, el índice del dólar se ha recuperado, aunque no significativamente.
