El peso mexicano se depreciaba el lunes ante una fortaleza generalizada del dólar por una ola de mayor aversión por activos de riesgo ante el incremento de nuevos casos de Covid-19 en varios países, lo que elevaba preocupaciones sobre la recuperación global.
La moneda local cotizaba en 21.4616 por dólar, con una pérdida del 1.58% frente al precio de referencia de Reuters del viernes.
La semana pasada, el peso anotó su mejor nivel de cierre desde el 10 de marzo, en 20.8510 unidades.
Los futuros de las acciones estadounidenses mostraban pérdidas en Wall Street. Esta semana los inversores estarán atentos a los discursos de las autoridades de la Reserva Federal en busca de pistas sobre más medidas de estímulo para revivir la economía estadounidense golpeada por el coronavirus.
