Infosel, julio. 13.- Los precios del petróleo operaban con ganancias, ya que los operadores del mercado esperaban que los inventarios comerciales de crudo estadounidense continuaran descendiendo, algo que podría calmar los temores por una sobreoferta.

El precio del barril de petróleo estadounidense, o West Texas Intermediate (WTI), ganaba 0.13% a 74.20 dólares por barril. En tanto, el precio del crudo del Mar del Norte, o Brent, avanzaba 0.24% a 75.34 dólares el barril.

Los operadores del mercado anticipan que las reservas de crudo hayan disminuido de manera constante por octava semana, como para que los inventarios de crudo estadounidense se coloquen en su nivel más bajo desde febrero de 2020.

Pero los movimientos de los inversionistas se mantenían cautelosos porque el avance de la variante delta del coronavirus -19 podría obstaculizar el crecimiento económico global.

La Organización Mundial de la Salud advirtió que la variante delta se estaba volviendo dominante y que muchos países aún no habían recibido suficientes dosis de vacuna para asegurar a sus trabajadores de la salud.
