Infosel, julio. 26.- El tipo de cambio frenaba dos días de avance ante el dólar, debido al recelo de los inversionistas de cara a la próxima reunión de la Reserva Federal y por el avance de la variante Delta de covid-19.

En estos momentos, la moneda nacional retrocedía 0.2% en el mercado spot para operar en 20.10 pesos por dólar. En tanto, el índice dólar o DXY –que mide al dólar frente a seis rivales– bajaba 0.16% a 92.77 unidades.

El mercado estará atento a la decisión de política monetaria de la Reserva Federal y sobre todo a los comentarios del banquero central Jerome Powell en torno al proceso para comenzar a disminuir el programa de compra de bonos.

Pero también persiste el nerviosismo de los inversionistas ante la propagación de la variante Delta a nivel global. En Estados Unidos, el director del Instituto Nacional de Alergias y Enfermedades Infecciosas, Anthony Fauci, advirtió que probablemente se necesitará una dosis de refuerzo para las personas vulnerables.

Por otro lado, algunos países como Tailandia, Vietnam, Corea del Sur y Argelia, impusieron nuevas medidas de confinamiento para combatir la propagación de la variable Delta.
