Infosel, septiembre. 1.- El peso mexicano avanzaba por cuarta jornada ante el dólar, su mejor racha en dos meses, luego que el reporte de empleos del sector privado de Estados Unidos no superó las expectativas del mercado.

La moneda nacional ganaba 0.5% para operar en 19.98 pesos por dólar, su nivel más fuerte en dos semanas y media. En tanto, el índice dólar o DXY –que mide al dólar frente a seis rivales– bajaba 0.18% a 92.47 unidades, su nivel más débil en tres semanas.

La menor demanda de dólares obedece a que en Estados Unidos se publicó la encuesta de empleo ADP, la cual reportó en agosto una creación de 374 mil posiciones laborales, muy por debajo de la expectativa del mercado de 638 mil empleos.

«La apreciación del peso se debe a que en los mercados financieros globales se ha elevado el apetito por riesgo, reduciendo la demanda por divisas refugio y elevando la demanda por divisas de economías emergentes o países productores de materias primas», escribió Gabriela Siller, directora de análisis económico financiero de Banco Base, en un reporte.
